Professional Practices & Responsibilities

If you’re looking to get your RYA certificates commercially endorsed, you must have completed this course. The PPR will run students through scenario-based questions regarding the validity of different certificates in various situations.

Students are enrolled, online, and expected to familiarise themselves with the study material provided prior to taking the exam. We recommend a minimum of 8 – 10 hours of private study prior to attempting any tests. Mock tests are available for each of the examinable modules and each mock test may be taken up to three times. Once you are satisfied with your level of knowledge, you may go on to take your final exams – one for General knowledge and one for Scenario-based questions.

Malta Sailing Academy offers a Pre-Exam revision session where students may attend a lesson with an instructor who will answer questions and clarify uncertainties. Students are expected to have studied thoroughly and have their own queries available, in addition to the explanation provided by the instructor. You will not be completing your final exam during the session!

Once you’ve completed your exam, you will be able to download an e-certificate.
