RYA Powerboat Level 2
This basic two day course provides the fundamental skills needed to handle a powerboat. No previous knowledge is required and you may expect to be introduced to topics including:
- Collision regulations
- Maneuvering at slow speed
- Man overboard
After this course, you should be self sufficient in handling and maneuvering a powerboat while being aware of your limitations.
This certificate will be coastally endorsed.
After completing this course you will be able to apply for an International Certificate of Competence for power vessels up to 10m.
This two-day entry level course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence.

Please note if you are taking this course and intend to apply for an ICC, a coastal Powerboat Level 2 course will allow you to apply for a coastal ICC for Power up to 10m. The inland Powerboat Level 2 course will allow you to apply for an inland ICC for Power up to 10m, providing you have also successfully passed a CEVNI test.
